I took a private cooking class in Bali on my honeymoon in August, 2016. I learned so much from my teacher “I Dhono” (sounds like; I dunno, in English slang). He was so informative and we laughed and exchanged chef secrets. I taught him some things as well, believe it or not!
We walked around the market in Ubud, Bali where I filmed the whole thing and will share on my blog. The market was so cool and I learned so much. I have never seen white turmeric before, only orange. I also discovered new fruits like snake fruit (similar to a lychee). We bartered and bought ingredients we used for some very delicious dishes. I choose 3 of my favorite to share with you and modified a couple of ingredients to make sure that you can make this easily at home.
If you have any questions about the recipes, please feel free to email us. My customer service team and I will be happy to get back to you with as much information as we can. If you have been to Bali, you might recognize some of these native dishes. If you have not yet been to Bali, you will now know what to eat if you ever do go. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful island in the country of Indonesia.
